Goodwill quietly opened a new store location in early May that somehow we missed! The new store is located at 8225 S. Gessner (Gessner and 59S). We popped in to the store today and, to be honest, when we started perusing the racks we weren’t overly impressed. Persistence usually pays off though. We took our time and looked through every hanger and were able to find some amazing deals. Remember, just skimming the racks will rarely produce the gems . . . that would be too easy. Another bonus with this new store is that it’s still flying under the radar of most Goodwill “regulars” . . . aka resellers. There were only 3 or 4 people in the store when we were there and the merchandise wasn’t picked over like some of the more popular Goodwills can get.
We found this beautiful BCBG evening gown for just $9.99.
We also found a Diane von Furstenberg silk wrap shirt in perfect condition for only $5.99! This top retails for around $200!
This silk Hale Bob top was a steal at just $5.99 as well.
Another great find was this sweater by Moth from Anthropologie for just $5.99. BTW, this was the only item that we purchased.
Keep in mind, even if you’re not successful on your trip, keep coming back. It only takes one person’s amazing donation to turn a dud thrifting day into a dream thrifting day. Patience and persistence is the key!
