Imagine being under the scrutiny of thousands of people every single day. In today’s age of social media, you’re not only being seen by your local market, but by the entire world via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Just click on a TV news reporter’s social media page and check out the comments, a good portion of those comments are directed at the personality’s appearance . . . be it good or bad!
Lucky for these beautiful ladies, they live in Houston with the Too Cheap Blondes, the Queens of Thrift! Check out some of our favorite ladies rocking their thrift store looks we found for them.
These women are required to look amazing every single day, and that’s not easy or inexpensive! People shouldn’t judge you by your appearance, but they do. Adding to the pressure these ladies need to wear the right colors to compliment their skin tone, not conflict with the green screen, and be pattern-free . . . finding a dress with all of these characteristics is not always an easy task.
We shop thrift stores several times a week and we leave behind some amazing finds. We started asking our TV friends what size they were and if they were interested in being styled by the Too Cheap Blondes . . . most of the time, the answer was YES! Every once in a while we find something that meets all of their criteria and ours – which includes never paying more than 10% of the retail price.
We are impressed with the comments that viewers leave for these women when they post their “thrifty” finds on social media!
