Imagine hearing a child say these words “Thank You for my New Clothes … Now I won’t be made fun of!”.
Do you know that where you donate and thrift shop makes a difference in YOUR community?
“At a recent Operation School Bell dressing event, a young girl was crying. When asked why, she told our volunteer that she was so happy because she had three new outfits. Now the other children wouldn’t make fun of her at school for her clothes.. These are the stories that let us know our programs are well worth the effort.” ~ Assistance League of Montgomery County Non-profit
Operation School Bell is the signature Program of National Assistance League, as well as every chapter of Assistance League across the nation. Through the collaborative efforts of Assistance League and local department and other stores, children in your county receive new clothes and shoes.
Each child receives a uniform package consisting of 3 shirts, 2 pairs of pants (or 1 pant and 1 skort for a girl), a windbreaker, 6 pairs of underwear, and a shoe voucher. School counselors identify children who qualify for uniform packages based on an established criteria.
During the 2014-2015 fiscal year, almost 13,000 students were served in Montgomery / Harris County.
(Please note that you can also allocate your donations to any one of their philanthropic programs)

It is an honor to work with organizations like Assistance League of Montgomery County, where it is a 100% volunteer based and changing lives. Pippa is pictured here with both the former president Dot Anderson and the current president Phyllis Loft. (Jen was not able to make it for this event but she was definitely there in spirit).
Your shopping and giving does make a difference!
